Music Cognition Resources

I happened upon a blog post on Sophie Harris’ blog, Wheels in Motion, where she links to a mostly interesting podcast about pauses in music.  Elizabeth Margulis, “associate professor and director of the Music Cognition Lab at the University of Arkansas” participates in the podcast.

I did a Google search for Elizabeth Margulis to learn more about the research she’s doing and thus came across a resource provided by Ohio State University’s music cognition lab.  The website, the Music Cognition Resource Center has indexes of resources including links to specific researchers.  Unfortunately, a lot of the links appear to be broken, so perhaps it is no longer maintained.  For example, Elizabeth’s link leads to the wrong institution.  However, it could still be a useful place to find names of researchers as well as other resources related to music cognition.

I’ll post the abstract of one of Elizabeth’s recent articles in a separate post.
